The Urban Monk.
The community is here to empower you and support you. There are three main areas to this part of the site.
Live Calls
You'll see these under "Meetups" in the community. Dr Shojai holds a live call on Tuesdays and the other Urban Monk coaches do so throughout the week.
This is your chance to ask questions and engage with our team in a deeper and more meaningful way.
Challenges
There are a number of "good for you" challenges we've set up to help you gain some edge and bring up your Vitality. They are tied to a badge and point system that has monthly rewards and prizes.
It's all about committing to what you can for yourself and sticking with it. Other Urban Monks are here to encourage and support you.
Interaction
There are thousands of like-minded people in the Academy who are also on this journey. We're all working to get out of our own way and be better versions of ourselves.
Spend some time on the Feed and engage with others. Make friends and support your fellow monks. This is a locked down private community and is a safe place.
I'm here for you.
The biggest reason for the creation of this community is that it's tough to go it alone. I understand that. I was the first "organic" eater for miles where I grew up. I was doing Tai Chi in the park when people had never seen such a thing. I'm willing to push the envelope and do what's best for me and my family and I'm holding that space for you.

The world outside is.
Here, you're surrounded by people who are on the same boat and are doing the work.
I put a lot of energy into this area of the Academy because I know the value of a strong community and I'm here to hold the space for you.
Access to the Urban Monk Academy.
Right now you're in the COMMUNITY section of the Academy where they live interaction and calls happen.
To access the courses that are the backbone of the Academy, click "Back to Library" in the upper left of your window. If you're just visiting here as part of a free screening, you can choose to purchase these a la carte or subscribe to the Academy for access to all.

INCENTIVES
I've laid out a number of prizes and benefits that you can earn as a member who participates in the community. I want to reward folks who are doing the work and also encouraging others to do so.
Each month, there are ongoing challenges that I invite you to take part in. Pick one or two to start and don't bite off more than you can chew.
Once you've successfully done a couple, you'll get the hang of it and be able to do bigger and better things.
